Mike Paquin

Mike is a seasoned executive with an extensive career spanning several decades in the financial services industry. Prior to co-founding Ataeva 15 years ago, Mike was the Chief Marketing Officer of Advanta, one of the nations largest issuers of small business credit cards. In addition, he has held key marketing roles at some of the industry’s prominent credit card issuers such as HSBC, Metris, First USA, and Bank One where he demonstrated a track record of driving growth and innovation.

Mike has developed extensive capabilities in data driven marketing and sales. He has been instrumental in shaping high-impact marketing initiatives, optimizing customer engagement, and driving profitability. His outstanding ability to identify profitable customer segments, understand unmet needs, and develop creative strategies has allowed him to make significant contributions across a broad range of opportunities. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated the unique ability to blend marketing acumen with a deep understanding of financial services.

Mike holds an MBA in Finance for Indiana University and a BA in Economics for Bethel University.

Ajay Pillai

Ajay is the co-founder of Ataeva. Prior to forming Ataeva, Ajay was the Head of Analytics and Leader of Main Street Segment at Advanta, one of the largest issuers of small business credit cards. While at Advanta, Ajay guided his team to develop several innovative solutions to complex acquisitions, customer marketing, risk, and collections challenges.

Ajay excels at identifying strategic opportunities, determining effective ways to test new ideas, and leading effective executions that produce profitable results. Prior to Advanta, Ajay lead decision sciences based client engagements at Opera, Inductis and Mitchell Madison Group in the Financial Services, Publishing, Retail and Gaming industries.

Ajay has published several articles and holds a patent in data matching. He holds a MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad and B. Tech. (Electrical Engineering) from IIT Delhi.
